Q&A

WHAT DOES YOUR AURA MEAN TO YOU?
“The range of colors speaks to me because I maintain a variety of interests and possess a similarly colorful personality. I don't think outside the box so much as I live my life there. For my aura photo to communicate this multiplicity strikes me as wholly accurate. I've never really fit neatly into a clique or an expectation or a group; instead, I'm very much a social butterfly, flitting around and fitting in wherever and however I can. I like to see this as a strength, expressed in my open-mindedness, curiosity, and kindness. And more color is never a bad thing!”

WHAT’S YOUR COFFEE ORDER?
“Usually, I prefer it black! But if I'm treating myself to a coffee drink, then it's definitely gonna be something cinnamony and nutmeggy and yummy — okay, it's a pumpkin spice latte. I'm talking about a PSL.”

FAVORITE COCKTAIL?
“It's really hard to beat a refreshing, bubbly, classy French 75. Something about the way the lemon sharpens the champagne which rounds out the more bitter edges of the gin — it never fails to make me happy.”

WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION?
“Nature, for sure. As much as I love living in a city as vibrant and artistic and diverse as Atlanta, nothing restores my soul, sharpens my focus, and fills my cup more than sojourning to nature.”

WHAT KIND OF DOG ARE YOU MOST LIKE?
”Honestly, I think why my corgi, Vinny, and I get along so well — and occasionally butt heads — is because we are frustratingly, humorously alike. We are both active, energetic to a fault, single-minded when working toward a goal, and enjoy a healthy balance of social time and alone time. He, however, has slightly more hair.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK HAVING MORE OF, WOULD MAKE THE WORLD MORE BEAUTIFUL?
“Whew, my answer really depends on the day, but what comes up for me right now is the word ‘curiosity.’ Were more people, more curious, I think, like a fire which requires oxygen, hate and bigotry and systemic oppressions would find less room to breathe.”
