Video isn’t just for TV anymore. HOC has been busy creating motion components for our fashion campaigns as well as helping with corporate videos for in-house uses.
To develop the fashion content, we’ve been pulling double duty at fashion photo shoots and capturing motion footage as well. It’s a fantastic way to bring the print and collateral campaign to life on digital screens. As beautiful as good fashion photography can be, there’s something special about seeing it come to life in motion. The energy and emotion captured in a single still frame is multiplied and enhanced – making it even more powerful.
While shooting in conjunction with a photo shoot certainly provides increased efficiency, it’s definitely not as simple as having a videographer show up and shoot over the photographer’s shoulder. Luckily, we’ve become pros at planning and coordinating everything you need to bring style to life.

Thanks to a long awaited renovation and a highly anticipated Bloomingdale’s opening, Glendale Galleria is generating some serious buzz in the LA retail scene. It was our job to make sure that buzz was felt by the world’s leading luxury fashion brands.
We answered the call with a comprehensive leasing package consisting of a custom brochure, branded USB drive, bookmark style notecard and more. Every special touch and distinctive detail was carefully chosen to give Glendale Galleria an unmistakably stylish image and glamorous personality.
The star of the leasing package is undoubtedly the stunning fashion photography we commissioned from Scott Lowden Photography. And since we’re not targeting ordinary retailers, an ordinary brochure just wouldn’t do. Clear foil stamping, a magnetic closure and premium paper stock all contribute to a unique look and feel.
Take our word for it, these shots don’t do it justice. To get the full impact, you’ll have to stop by HOC sometime to see and touch it in person. But please, don’t ask us to send you a sample. Because, like a couture gown, there simply are not enough of them to meet demand.
You might be surprised by the new Fall/Winter 2012 ad campaign for Prada menswear. It’s not a shock that they enlisted Hollywood A-listers Gary Oldman, Garrett Hedlund, Jamie Bell and Willem Dafoe to model the collection. But the fact that the line features such a stunning collection of steampunk inspired clothing is a bit eye-opening.
According to Prada’s website, “The campaign—shot by David Sims—layers different codes of dress in a subtle parody of power and role-play.”
“Exaggerated poses and conspiratorial glances hint at the game, a palm solemnly placed on the heart or into a pocket with precise formality.”
The images are so dramatic, one can imagine them smoking cigars, drinking brandy and playing a game of cards while discussing gentlemanly affairs. One word of warning, Willem Dafoe’s glare is so intense, it might be disturbing to young children or the faint of heart.
