When you see a beautiful photo or ad – whether it’s one of ours or someone else’s – please don’t take it for granted. Believe us, a great deal of effort, planning, talent and teamwork goes into capturing those images. Our recent shoot for Grand Canal Shoppes in Las Vegas is a prime example.
The Grand Canal Shoppes recently merged with their sister property, The Shoppes at The Palazzo, to form one powerhouse shopping, dining and entertainment destination. HOC was asked to create a new multi-media campaign to rebrand the new Grand Canal Shoppes as a more fashionable and all encompassing destination.
The property features a signature canal along with cobblestone floors, gondolas, singing gondoliers and numerous other entertainers. So in addition to showing beautiful fashion, we needed to showcase the unique environment as well.
We shot the video in conjunction with the still photography as part of one elaborate production. We’re used to working with multiple models and shooting on location, but managing the huge cast of singing gondoliers and other entertainers presented a new set of challenges for us. After months of planning and scheduling, we spent two full days shooting at several locations along the indoor canal.
We’ve recently adopted the saying, “Teamwork makes the dream work” and this experience proved it to be true. Thanks to the photographer, models, crew, entertainers and clients all pulling together, we came home with hours of fantastic footage and dozens of stunning images to use in their new campaign.
